National Financial Annual Report

The National Financial Annual Report states what has been realized in the previous year compared to the budget, submitted a year and half earlier on Budget Day.

The National Financial Annual Report looks back on the budget policy conducted by the cabinet just as the Budget Memorandum looks ahead at the policy to be pursued. The National Financial Annual Report discusses, inter alia, unexpected or disappointed developments relating to the Central Government expenditure and receipts. The report also specifies whether the books are closed with a positive or negative balance (surplus or deficit) and whether this deviates from the expectations as stated in the Budget Memorandum (a year and a half earlier).
