Government participations
Government participations are the participations of the State
of the Netherlands in the risk capital of public or private
companies with share capital.
The current policy on government participations is developed based on the Memorandum on Government Participations 2007. This memorandum supports an active management of government participations. With this the new policy marks a shift of emphasis as opposed to earlier policy: “privatise unless” becomes “public unless”.
